Zirconium Copper (CuZr)
Zirconium Copper (CuZr) is a high-performance copper alloy engineered for applications that demand a rare combination of high electrical/thermal conductivity and better softening resistance at elevated temperatures compared to pure copper. R V Metal Corporation supplies CuZr in multiple product forms including sheets, plates, rods, and bars, suitable for precision components, heavy-duty current carrying parts, and high-heat industrial tooling.
CuZr is widely selected where standard ETP/DHP copper loses strength due to heat exposure. Typical uses include resistance welding parts (electrodes, holders, arms), busbar and switchgear components, spot-welding shanks, heat-sink and thermal blocks, and high-load electrical contacts. It also offers good machinability and fabrication performance when processed under the correct temper and heat treatment.
We can offer CuZr products in custom sizes, cut-to-length, and project-specific specifications with test certification, ensuring consistent chemistry, conductivity, and mechanical properties for OEM and EPC requirements.
